And I'm feeling good.

So in a fit of complete boredom (I've been awake for many more hours than usual, though actually getting enough sleep has never stopped me from doing this before) I was browsing the lovely last.fm and stumbled upon my shoutbox. I recently joined the Icelandic Music Scene group because, well, I like the Icelandic music scene, and was graciously welcomed by who I'm pretty sure must be the leader of said group. While checking out his page I saw pictures of none other than Near (from Death Note) and Detective Gumshoe (from the Ace Attorney series). Mildly excited, I clicked on the links and found myself at.. a quiz site. Joy. "Ah, what the hell," I thought to myself, "may as well see what kind of answers I come up with." And I was pleasantly surprised.
As for which Death Note character I "am":
What Death Note Character Are You?

Whoa. Awesome. My favorite.

And as for which detective (at least I think that was the point of the quiz) I "am":
Who Is Your Detective Persona?

Whoa. Awesome. Another favorite.

Perhaps I should consider a switch in careers. Not that working at the motel is exactly a career, but maybe I should think twice about teaching English in Japan.. nah.

Anyway.

Linda and I made a trip to the Indian reservation rather early this morning. Well worth the drive (it's about an hour and a half from here), especially now that the price of cigarettes has gone up rather a lot. More than $5 for a pack of Camels? I think not... though that's probably why I've gotten so many coupons lately. No, I'll stick with my Buffalo cigarettes. Perhaps not quite as tasty, but at $16.50 a carton I'll take as many of those as I can get. Which was two, if you're curious. Anyway, it was a nice drive out, despite our car having absolutely no heat. We blasted Muse the entire way there and back, and I must say I'd forgotten how incredible they sound through proper speakers. My laptop and tiny iPod speakers do not do my music justice. Sigh, perhaps part of my tax refund will go to a Bose system. That way I could be brought damn close to tears every time I listen to "Take a Bow" instead of just in the car.

Note to self: spend part of refund on PW:AA: The Miles Edgeworth Files, you foolish fool... oh, wait, that's Franziska. I don't feel like thinking up a fancy insult.

In conclusion for today, since I am rather hungry: Bret Michaels. That is all.
